If
you have never been before, look out for us. We are unusual
in that we are on a first floor level, with shops situated
underneath us, but customer access is good with an escalator,
lifts and a ramp plus steps at all sides of the market.
Burnley
Markets Complex is situated right in the heart of Burnley,
close to the main shopping centres with car parking facilities
located nearby. National rail and coach stations are
also within a short walking distance of the market, adding
to the
ease and pleasure of shopping in Burnley.
The market hall is a large, spacious modern
building creating a bright, light, airy environment for its
119 stalls which, since Its completion, has proved extremely
popular with shoppers. Adjacent to the market hall is the
popular, traditional open market boasting 142
stalls, retailing just about everything you could possibly
imagine. This, together with the market hall provides the
opportunity for shoppers to browse over 260 stalls and all
in one convenient location.
For the shopper looking to browse, and prepared
to be a little more “adventurous” in looking
for that long lost bargain, you hope to get from the “car
boot sale ” type – our Wednesday Bric a Brac
special, where both new and second hand goods are sold, could
be the answer.
Why not come along and enjoy that friendly banter
with the colourful traders while you search for that bargain
you're sure to find?

About 3 miles west of
Burnley is Padiham. Every Wednesday and Friday traders set
out their wide variety of goods and wares in the traditionally designed
50 stall open market. This gives local shoppers additional outlets from
which to buy, supplementing
the local shops on market days which, at the same time, draws
visitors to the town. Why not come along and enjoy the friendly
atmosphere?
